In a world that feels ordinary right up until it isn't, a disgraced detective, a grieving athlete, a bullied scholarship student, and an unremarkable teenage girl are about to become each other's only chance at survival. When an experiment born from nothing but human curiosity unleashes a creature that multiplies like a plague, cities fall in days and the line between predator and prey disappears fast. As strangers are forced together by chaos, old wounds resurface, unlikely bonds form, and the truth behind the monster's origin becomes the only thing that might save what's left of humanity. But every beast has a weakness. Finding it will cost them everything they have left.
