*The Cold CEO*Mr. Alex Chen was known as the Ice King. 28 years old, CEO of the biggest tech company in Lagos, always in a black suit, never smiles, never says more than 10 words in a meeting. Everyone was scared of him.Everybody except Maya.Maya was the new intern in his office. On her first day, she mistakenly poured coffee on his $2000 shoes.Everyone gasped. They thought she would be fired.Alex just looked down at his shoes, then at her shaking hands and said coldly, "Clean it."Maya quickly cleaned it and whispered, "Sorry sir... your shoes are still fine, super ghost doesn't stain it."Alex frowned. "Super what?""Super ghost - means it disappears and comes back clean! Like magic!" she said with a nervous smile. For the first time in 3 years, the cold CEO almost laughed. He didn't, but his eyes softened. From that day, Maya was the only one who could enter his office without knocking. She would leave small notes on his desk - "Don't be too cold today, CEO", "Eat lunch, Ice King!"Slowly, the staff noticed their CEO was changing. He started saying "good morning". He started leaving office early. One rainy evening, Maya was working late. Alex came out of his office and said, "It's raining. Let's go.""I don't have an umbrella," Maya said."You don't need one," he said, and held his jacket over her head as they walked to his car.In the car, he finally said what everyone was waiting to hear:"Maya, everyone thinks I'm cold. I'm not cold. I just never found a reason to be warm... until you came."And that was how the cold CEO melted.
