Adrián, crown prince of Valdoro, lives trapped behind golden walls and princesses chosen by his mother, the queen, who would never accept a common woman by his side. One stormy day, his horse bolts and throws him into an unfamiliar forest, where he falls injured and covered in mud outside a humble cottage. There lives Lina, a strong and kind young woman who chops logs to sell as firewood in the town market. Unaware of who he is, she tends to his wounds, takes care of his horse, and gives him her late father's clothes. Adrián, grateful and fascinated, hides his identity. For the first time, someone treats him like a person rather than a title. As he recovers, a simple life with Lina transforms him: he learns to chop wood, walks through the market, and discovers what it means to be free. But love grows on a foundation of lies. Back at the castle, Tomás and the guard search for him relentlessly, while the queen intensifies plans to marry him off to a princess. When the truth comes to light, Lina will have to decide if she can forgive the deception. Adrián, for his part, will have to choose between the throne demanded of him and the woman who made him feel alive.
