ABSTRACT
*EXPANDED PLOT - "When You Forget Me"* *Beginning* Leah and Alex grew up together as childhood sweethearts. At 10 years old, under the mango tree in their barangay park, Alex made a pinky promise: "First love kita, Leah. Forever." For 10 years, they were inseparable. But when Alex turned 18, he got into a car accident that caused amnesia. He woke up with no memory of Leah, his family, or their past. Heartbroken, Leah watched him start a new life while she was left behind. *Rising Action* 4 years later, fate brings them together again as freshmen at NU. Alex lives a new life with new friends Cassie and Yuna. Leah transfers to the same school, hoping for a miracle. Instead, she faces bullying, cold stares, and the daily pain of being a stranger to her first love. At home, things are worse. Her parents Elena and Rolando are constantly fighting. Leah becomes the silent witness, blaming herself for their unhappiness. Her only support system are her best friends Mika and Ria, and her older brother Kuya Warren who works in Manila. *Main Conflicts* The conflict deepens when Leah is falsely accused of ruining a school booth during a fundraising event. Alex believes the rumors and tells her to "stay away." At the same time, Leah overhears her parents fighting about an annulment. Her mother blames Leah and Alex for the family's problems. Leah feels like she is the reason everyone is leaving her. She cuts the bracelet Alex gave her and decides to let go to protect herself. *Climax* On a rainy night, Leah breaks down at their old spot - the mango tree and swing in the park. She screams all her pain: about her parents, about Alex forgetting her. Alex finds her there. He admits that seeing her cry hurts him, even though he doesn't remember why. He says, "If I could bring it back... I would." For the first time, Leah sees guilt in his eyes instead of indifference. He offers to walk her home, and they walk in silence in the rain. *Ending* Leah chooses to heal. With Kuya Warren quitting his job to come home for her, Leah finally has someone who tells her "It’s not your fault." She focuses on herself and her studies. Alex, on the other hand, starts getting flashes of memories and saves her number as "my first love" even without knowing why. The story ends with Leah learning to live without waiting, and Alex learning to fight to remember. Will memories return? Or will they build a new love from zero? *Total estimated words: 120,000 words* ---
